Manufacturing

The Los Cidrines Bakery was founded in Arecibo in 1978 by two brothers, Manuel and Guillermo Cidre.  That year they opened the first store specializing in bread, pastry, sandwiches and hors d'oeuvres.

The manufacturing operation of Los Cidrines Bakery has 2 main production lines.  One is dedicated to the production of frozen breads.  The second one has the Rademaker roller and finisher, the only one in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, dedicated to the production of puff and sheet pastries with different fillings.  Los Cidrines Bakery also has two cell production operations, one dedicated to artisan products and the other to pre-baked products, both bread and pastry.  Los Cidrines Bakery is the only bread plant approved in Puerto Rico by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and our manufacturing operations are certified by the American Institute of Baking (AIB).
